EVERYTHING ABOUT JOHANN ZARCO
Johann Zarco, after spending four seasons with Ducati, has embarked on a new challenge in 2024 with LCR Honda.
His move follows a successful 2023 MotoGP campaign, where he enjoyed his most fruitful season before transitioning to Honda, where he will partner with Takaaki Nakagami.
Zarco’s MotoGP journey began with Monster Yamaha Tech3 in 2017, where he showcased remarkable potential with six podiums and four pole positions. His performances earned him recognition from various factory teams, eventually leading to a deal with KTM for the 2019 season.
However, Zarco struggled to adapt to the KTM RC16, prompting his unexpected departure from the team after just one season. Despite his challenges, Zarco showcased his talent by filling in for the injured Takaaki Nakagami at LCR Honda for the final three races of the season.
In 2020, Zarco secured a ride with Avintia Ducati, where he made history by claiming the team’s first pole position and podium. His performances caught the attention of Ducati’s management, leading to a move to Pramac Ducati for the 2021 season.
During his tenure with Pramac Ducati, Zarco achieved a career-best four podiums and briefly led the championship standings. However, consistency proved to be a challenge, and he ultimately finished fifth in the championship.
In 2023, Zarco finally clinched his maiden MotoGP victory at the Australian Grand Prix, showcasing his skill and determination on the track.
Now, with LCR Honda, Zarco aims to continue his success and contribute to the team’s aspirations in the upcoming season.
