Fermin Aldeguer’s Official Confirmation as Ducati MotoGP Rider for 2025 and 2026 Seasons.

Spanish prodigy Fermin Aldeguer has been officially confirmed to join the MotoGP ranks with Ducati, signing a two-year contract starting from 2025.

The talented rider from Boscoscuro, who made waves last season by clinching victory in the final four races of the Moto2 World Championship, is expected to find a place in the Pramac team.

However, today’s announcement did not specify the exact team Aldeguer will be riding for.

“We warmly welcome Fermín to the Ducati family, and we’re eager to see him aboard our Desmosedici GP,” stated Ducati Corse general manager Gigi Dall’Igna.

“I am particularly excited about this agreement as Aldeguer is among the most promising talents in the new MotoGP generation. We have closely followed his progress over the years, and last season he displayed incredible speed. He’s a young rider with immense potential and the qualities to succeed, and we are committed to providing him with all the technical support to aid in his development.”

Aldeguer, who was the subject of MotoGP speculations last season before confirming his decision to fulfill the final year of his Speed Up Moto2 contract, expressed his enthusiasm:

“I am beyond thrilled for this opportunity. Thanks to Ducati, I will be living the dream I’ve chased since childhood. The time has come to take the leap and compete against the world’s best riders, and to top it off, I’ll be doing it with the premier bike on the grid.”

“I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to Ducati, particularly to Gigi Dall’Igna, for their unwavering faith in me since the inception of our discussions. My sincere thanks extend to Luca Boscoscuro for our shared journey and the promising path ahead this year. I am also thankful to my family, my manager Héctor Faubel, and everyone who has contributed to my journey in various ways.

“Now, with clarity about the future, my focus is entirely on this season, where I face a significant challenge in Moto2. I am committed to giving my utmost to conclude this chapter with pride, striving for the best possible results before transitioning to the thrilling new venture in MotoGP.”

Currently, Jorge Martin and the newly signed Franco Morbidelli pilot factory-spec Desmosedicis for Pramac.

Jorge Martin, the reigning title runner-up, has openly expressed his aspirations for a factory team seat, either with Ducati or elsewhere. This suggests a probable departure from Pramac for new opportunities.

Pramac stands among the three satellite teams (alongside VR46 and LCR) in the final year of their current manufacturer contract. They are yet to confirm the machinery for the 2025 season, which likely explains the absence of specific details regarding Aldeguer’s seat.

Since their shift from Honda in 2005 through a partnership with the former d’Antin squad, Pramac has been aligned with Ducati.
