EVERYTHING ABOUT JORGE MARTIN

After losing the opportunity for a factory Ducati team seat to Enea Bastianini, Jorge Martin embarked on his third season with Pramac Ducati in 2023.

It turned out to be his most remarkable MotoGP season yet as he emerged as a serious title contender right up to the final round at Valencia.

Martin aims to capitalize on his success and strive for even greater achievements before transitioning to a factory team in 2025.

During his rookie 2021 season, Martin made history as the first-ever satellite Ducati MotoGP race winner, having been lured away from KTM while competing for the Austrian factory’s Ajo-run Moto2 team.

Before his Moto2 stint, Martin secured the 2018 Moto3 world title with seven race victories for Gresini.

At Pramac Ducati, Martin made an immediate impact in MotoGP, showcasing his talent by finishing fourth from 14th on the grid in his debut race in Qatar. Despite facing setbacks with injuries, he rebounded impressively by claiming pole position and securing a debut podium in the subsequent race.

Following a challenging recovery period from multiple fractures, Martin returned stronger after the summer break, clinching pole position and securing a historic victory in Austria. His win as a rookie in the MotoGP era, particularly with a satellite Ducati team, solidified his status among prestigious names in the sport.

While his second season saw Martin repeating his ninth-place finish in the world championship, he demonstrated consistent speed with five pole positions and four podium finishes. Despite facing setbacks, including non-scores in the early rounds and competition for a factory team seat, Martin’s determination and talent remain unquestionable.

As he continues his journey with Pramac Ducati, Martin’s sights are set on further accomplishments before making the transition to a factory team, affirming his position as one of MotoGP’s brightest talents.
