A rush to secure Pedro Acosta’s MotoGP future results in the presentation of a new offer.

A new revelation regarding Pedro Acosta’s contract situation suggests that he could be tied to KTM for an extended period beyond initial expectations.

It’s widely believed that Acosta’s current contract with KTM includes a clause for an additional year, extending his tenure until the end of 2025. According to reports, Acosta has already agreed to this renewal. However, KTM has also presented a new two-year contract, which, if signed, would bind Acosta to the manufacturer until the conclusion of 2026.

This prospective agreement would place Acosta in the company of only a few riders with contracts of such duration, including Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha), Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati), and Fermin Aldeguer (upon his arrival at Ducati next year).

Reportedly, KTM is keen on securing Acosta’s services, recognizing him as a valuable asset they have invested in for several years. As part of the deal, a promotion to KTM’s factory team from his current position with the Tech3 GASGAS team is likely.

Although a mid-season switch has been ruled out, there’s speculation that Acosta could potentially move to the official team as early as next season.

The emergence of a fresh contract offer from KTM, despite Pedro Acosta being already contracted until the end of 2025, underscores his remarkable performance in MotoGP and the high level of interest surrounding him.

While Honda has been rumored to be interested in Acosta, the rider has shown no inclination towards such a move.

Acosta’s debut in the premier class has been nothing short of spectacular. With two podium finishes in the first three races and a stint leading the Americas MotoGP, his talent is unmistakable.

As Acosta prepares to race in front of his home crowd at Spanish Jerez this weekend, he’s aware that many within the paddock see him as a potential race winner.

Now, with the possibility of a lucrative offer from KTM on the horizon, Acosta’s future in the sport looks promising.
